In 2018 there was no National Convention, although there was a Convention of Southern European countries, organized by the French Association of Iyengar Yoga that took place in Marseille from May 18 to 21, 2018 with Abhijata S. Iyengar as a guest teacher.
In 2020, 2021 and 2022, the corresponding Conventions were not held due to the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
By 2020, the XXI Convention had begun to be organized and was to be held in Murcia from April 26 to 28, 2020 with Jahawar Bangera as a guest professor, but it had to be finally suspended.
In 2022, the AEYI organized an online event that took place on May 14-15 and 20-22, 2022 with Abhijata S. Iyengar as a guest professor.
